A passion for creating opportunities
Our network of creative professionals supports a diverse and inclusive community of artists, ranging from youth to adults, beginners to professionals.
Subsidized Training
Free or low cost dance, voice and acting classes
- Dance Break Workshop – A $10, 4-hour teen dance intensive that runs in June, July and August each year
- Youth Free Dance Day – A full day of dance for FREE that runs twice per year
Studio Space
We offer five studio spaces ranging in size and price from $10 to $50 hourly
- Instant online bookings
- Available to book 365 days a year
- Access to a community clubhouse
Creative Resources
From media equipment to costume rental, we work to share our resources with local creative, often at no cost.
- Production Lab – We provide access to a facility designed to produce and edit media
- Costume Closet – We share a large inventory of wardrobe items with local creatives as needed
Community
We’ve hosted the following donation pop up community performances each year since 2017.
- Second Saturdays at Midtown – A volunteer, pop-up performance in the streets taking place June through August each year
- Old Sacramento Waterfront Pop Up – A volunteer, pop-up performance in the streets taking place in July each year
Arts Education
We subsidize free performances, assemblies and classes to local public schools with the goal of exposing underserved communities to performing arts.
Professional Development
Our performance teams are designed to expose aspiring dancers to training and performance opportunities to bolster their resume and professional experience.
- Sac Dance Company – No dues professional dance company
- Sac Dance Academy – No cost performance training company geared toward serious young dancers looking to break into the dance industry
